Our partner negotiated with the Institute of International Relations of the University of Kyiv
The purpose of the meeting, initiated by our key partner, the Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association, was to explore avenues of cooperation that could support joint efforts between the Institute of International Relations and the Africa Strategy Institute of Kyiv University, and the Africa Research Institute of Óbuda University in Hungary, both in Europe and Africa.
In-person participants included Dr Péter Gergő Juhász, Head of the "Sustainable Africa" Research Group at the Africa Research Institute of Óbuda University and President of the Planetrise Association, along with Nándor Tárczy, Head of the Planetrise Association's Beregszász Office.
At Kyiv University, the delegation was received by Valerii Kopiika, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Professor of Political Science; Olena Pryiatelchuk, Deputy Director for Scientific and Pedagogical Activities, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor; and Dr Iuliia Tsyrfa, Doctor of Political Science, Associate Professor, and Director of the Centre for Strategic African Studies.
Joining the meeting online were Dr Oleksiy Syvak, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Botswana, and Dr János Besenyő, Head of the Africa Research Institute at Óbuda University.
The Planetrise Association expressed hope that the meeting laid the foundation for academic, civil, economic, and diplomatic cooperation, and that their joint work will continue to thrive despite the ongoing war.
