HOLT-SZAMOS DOCUMENTARY FILM
The project completed in 2021, it was implemented by Planetrise Academy in partnership with our featured partner the Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association and with the support of Bethlen Gábor Fund Management Ltd.
The documentary presents the natural and cultural heritage of the Holt-Szamos area with the aim of offering insight into the wildlife, traditions and cultural landscape of this lesser-known region of Hungary, the Szatmár area.
Adopting a nature-focused perspective and a community-based approach the film explores the region's values in a way that highlights both ecological awareness and cultural continuity. In addition to its educational function the documentary also serves to strengthen local identity and promote the preservation of natural heritage.

WASTE COLLECTION CAMPAIGNS AROUND THE HOLT-SZAMOS
As part of an annual programme waste collection campaigns are organised with the involvement of volunteers, promoting community engagement and strengthening environmental awareness.
The primary objective of these activities is to clean the riverbanks of the Holt-Szamos along the sections near Géberjén, Győrtelek and Kocsord in order to protect local wildlife and preserve natural habitats. Participants in the project gain hands-on experience of the importance of environmental responsibility and sustainability.
The project is supported by Nature Centrum Ltd., and implemented in strategic cooperation with our featured partners, the Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association and the Planetrise Foundation.

CLIMATE CHANGE SURVEY IMPLEMENTATION
In 2023 our partner organisation the Planetrise Foundation conducted a comprehensive survey in secondary schools in Kisvárda targeting young people aged 14 to 20.
The objective of the research was to assess student's knowledge and attitudes regarding climate change. While the overall project was implemented by the Planetrise Foundation the associated field research and data collection were carried out by the Planetrise Academy.
The data gathered through the survey contributes to the development of environmental education programmes with particular emphasis on young people's information-seeking behaviours and motivations. The results provide long-term guidance for designing educational and awareness-raising activities that foster climate consciousness.
