Earth Day – Celebrating Our Home
April 22 – a day to remind us that the Earth does not belong to us, but to our grandchildren.
Planetrise Academy officially registered in 2024, is the successor to an organisation with a history of more than 30 years. Originally founded in 1989 as the "Barátság GOV Horgász Association", its initial mission was to promote angling as a sport and to represent the interests of anglers.
Over the years its activities expanded to include nature conservation, environmental awareness, and sustainability-oriented projects. As the focus gradually shifted towards the practical education of sustainability knowledge, the organisation adopted the name Planetrise Academy to reflect its renewed direction—while continuing to honour angling as a form of sport and recreation.
We strive to balance economic, social, and environmental factors – working toward a world that remains liveable in the long term.
We are committed to safeguarding our natural heritage, ensuring a clean and liveable environment for future generations.
We provide knowledge and tools that empower individuals to understand and positively influence the world around them.
We inspire positive changes in how people think, aiming to build a more conscious and responsible society together.
We take an active role in shaping public life, supporting civic participation through volunteer and community-driven initiatives.
We create space for creativity, dialogue, and reinterpreting traditions – because culture connects, inspires, and builds community.

Travelling opens doors to new cultures, communities, and perspectives – and volunteering takes this experience further by fostering real connections and shared purpose. These encounters go beyond conventional tourism: they bring us closer to others' realities while reshaping our own outlook. Through volunteer work, individuals develop a sense of responsibility, adaptability, and social awareness – skills that remain vital throughout life.
Planetrise Academy supports forms of travel that create genuine value. That's why we focus on opportunities where volunteering contributes to making the world a better place. These programs are available through our featured partner organisation, the Planetrise Association – including African missions, local community projects, and international cultural collaborations.
Planetrise Academy is committed to environmental protection, education, social responsibility and cultural diversity. We believe that a more sustainable, liveable, and united world can only be built through collective action – and your support is essential to making this a reality.
Your donation directly strengthens our mission: it enables us to launch impactful environmental awareness programs, empower disadvantaged communities, share knowledge and values widely and preserve the cultural diversity that enriches our society.
Our goal is to build bridges across generations, communities, and cultures – towards a world where solidarity, environmental responsibility, and equal opportunity are not the exception, but the norm.
